Beijing Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion and Negotiation Conference Held: Joining Hands to Explore New Opportunities

Buenos Aires, South American Perspective, November 29th - Liu Jun/WenOn November 28th local time, the Beijing Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion and Negotiation Conference was successfully held in Buenos Aires. This event is jointly organized by the Beijing Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Argentine Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce, the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) Foundation, with strong support from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) Co., Ltd.

  The conference attracted more than 80 guests from China and Argentina, including An Guanghui, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Group of the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade and President of the Beijing International Chamber of Commerce, Zhang Junguo, Chairman of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) Co., Ltd., Li Zheng, Executive Director of Individual and Small and Medium sized Enterprises of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina), Rallies Pliauzer, President of the Argentine Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Martin Lo Coco, CEO of the Argentine Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Rodrigo Herrera Bravo, Chairman of the Argentine Strategic Dialogue Foundation, and Emma Fontane of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) Foundation. The atmosphere at the event was lively, and both sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the field of economic and trade cooperation.


  An Guanghui, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, emphasized the importance of China Argentina relations in his speech, pointing out that as the capital of China, Beijing's advantages in multiple fields such as digital economy, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine are highly complementary to Argentina's strengths in agriculture, food, energy, and minerals. He hopes that both sides will take this promotion meeting as an opportunity to continue exploring the potential of cooperation, seize development opportunities, jointly respond to market challenges, and promote China Arab economic and trade cooperation to a higher level.

  Zhang Jianwei, Secretary of the Party Group of the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade and President of the Beijing International Chamber of Commerce, stated that although China and Arab countries are geographically distant, their cultures are profound and their relationship is close. Beijing's bilateral trade volume exceeded 2.6 billion US dollars last year, demonstrating the close economic ties between the two sides. Zhang Jianwei pointed out that as a mega city, Beijing has strong purchasing power and high-end consumption ability, as well as a gathering of financial factors and a superior business environment. Its transportation network is well-developed, providing a favorable development environment for China Arab economic and trade cooperation.



    During the conference, the Beijing International Chamber of Commerce and the Arab Chinese Business Association signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly cooperation. Both parties will cooperate to hold multiple bilateral business activities such as training, seminars, project negotiation meetings, exhibitions, technical exchange meetings, new product samples, and sample exhibitions.

     The meeting also highlighted multiple collaborative projects. Among them, BAIC International and ADACHI from Argentina signed an agreement to export 3000 Taipei cars by 2026, marking further cooperation between the two parties in the automotive field; Beijing Krypton Chuangfu Information Technology Co., Ltd. has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Latin American China Political Economy Research Center CLEPEC, demonstrating the potential for cooperation between Chinese and Arab enterprises in the field of technology.




     The convening of the Beijing Argentina Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference not only brings new development opportunities for both sides, but also marks a new stage of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. In the future, China and Arab countries will engage in deeper cooperation in multiple fields and jointly explore new opportunities for mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
