Xinhua News Agency, Buenos Aires, December 11th —— At the invitation of the Argentine government, Wu Weihua, special envoy of President Xi Jinping and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended President Mile's inauguration ceremony in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on the 10th. On the 11th, Mile met with Wu Weihua at the Presidential Palace in Argentina.

Wu Weihua conveyed President Xi Jinping's warm congratulations and best wishes to Mile, stating that over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Argentina relations have maintained a positive momentum of development, with cooperation outcomes benefiting the people of both countries. China attaches great importance to developing China-Argentina relations and is willing to work with the new Argentine government to adhere to mutual respect, equality, and mutually beneficial cooperation, and to promote the continuous and in-depth development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Mile expressed his gratitude to President Xi Jinping for sending a special envoy to his inauguration ceremony and asked Wu Weihua to convey his sincere greetings and best wishes to President Xi. Mile stated that the new Argentine government highly values China-Argentina relations and will continue to firmly adhere to the one-China policy. The economies of China and Argentina are highly complementary, and the Argentine side is willing to further promote in-depth cooperation and exchanges in various fields, including economy and trade, and culture and humanities.

During his stay in Argentina, Wu Weihua also met with then-President Alberto Fernández and the newly appointed Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa.
