On April 30, 2024, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Foreign Minister, held talks with Argentine Foreign Minister Montino in Beijing.

Wang Yi stated that both China and Arab countries are important emerging economies and are good friends and partners with each other. China firmly adheres to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, respects the choices made by the Argentine people, wishes Argentina success in reform, and hopes and believes that Argentina can overcome difficulties and find a development and revitalization path that is in line with its own national conditions and supported by the people through active exploration. China is willing to be a long-term and reliable partner of Afghanistan, and together with Afghanistan, we will take the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Afghanistan this year as an opportunity to strengthen communication, deepen mutual trust, and expand cooperation, jointly grasp the future development direction of China Afghanistan relations, inject more certainty into the development of bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields, make China Afghanistan relations more mature and resilient, and open up new prospects for the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Wang Yi said that political mutual trust is a solid foundation for the stable development of China Arab relations, development and revitalization are the common pursuit of both countries, and people to people friendship is a solid bond for the inheritance of China Arab friendship. The two sides should continue to cherish and consolidate political mutual trust, understand and support each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns, continue to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" in high quality, implement existing major projects, promote cooperation in space, aerospace, marine, Antarctic and other fields, promote the sustained, healthy and balanced development of bilateral trade, and play a positive role in Afghanistan's economic development and social stability. China has always supported Afghanistan's efforts to maintain economic and financial stability, and is willing to continue providing assistance to the best of its ability for this purpose. I hope that Afghanistan can provide a favorable environment for Chinese enterprises to invest in Afghanistan. Both sides also need to deepen cultural exchanges in areas such as localities, youth, education, and health, in order to deepen the friendship between China and Arab countries.

Wang Yi pointed out that China is willing to work with Latin American and Caribbean countries, including Argentina, to promote the construction of an equal, mutually beneficial, innovative, open, and people-oriented China Latin America relationship in the new era, closely coordinate and cooperate under multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the G20, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and make positive contributions to world peace and development.

Mondino said that China is a comprehensive strategic partner of Argentina, and the two countries have had good cooperation in a wide range of fields. No matter how the internal political situation of the Afghan side changes, the friendly policy towards China pursued by the Afghan side will not change. Abiding by the one China principle, the Arab side is willing to close bilateral dialogue and communication with China and continue to promote cooperation in infrastructure construction, trade, investment, finance, tourism, space, Antarctica, oceans, environmental protection and other fields under the framework of jointly building the "the Belt and Road". The economies of Afghanistan and China are highly complementary. The government of Afghanistan adheres to an open policy and welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Afghanistan. Algeria is willing to deepen cooperation with China within the framework of the Latin American and Chinese Forum, closely communicate and coordinate within multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and the G20, promote the deepening of Latin American and Chinese relations, maintain world peace, and promote sustainable development.
