On the morning of November 19th local time, President Xi Jinping met with Argentine President Millet during his attendance at the G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

Xi Jinping pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Arab countries more than half a century ago, both sides have adhered to mutual respect, equal treatment, and mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. China's policy towards Argentina has always been aimed at the entire Argentine people, and China Argentina cooperation also benefits all people. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Arab countries, and the relationship between the two countries is at an important juncture of carrying forward the past and opening up the future. The Chinese side cherishes the traditional friendship between the two peoples, supports the Afghan side in exploring a development path that is in line with its national conditions through reform, and is willing to work with the Afghan side to promote the long-term stable development of the China Arab comprehensive strategic partnership and better assist the development of each country.

Xi Jinping emphasized that the current world situation is undergoing profound changes, and both China and Arab countries should continue to firmly support each other's core interests and major concerns, strengthen exchanges at all levels and in all fields, promote cultural exchanges and cooperation, and make China Arab friendship more deeply rooted in people's hearts. The economic and trade structure between China and Arab countries is highly complementary, with broad prospects for cooperation. We welcome Arab countries to seize the important opportunities brought by China's high-level opening-up and further expand their market share in China. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Arab side to continue to promote high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and deepen cooperation in energy, mining, infrastructure, agriculture, scientific and technological innovation, digital economy and other fields. China is also willing to continue financial cooperation with Afghanistan to assist in maintaining economic and financial stability.

Miller expressed that he is very pleased to meet Chairman Xi Jinping. Thank you for the valuable assistance provided by China to stabilize the domestic economic and financial situation in Argentina. The traditional friendship between China and Afghanistan is profound. Argentina hopes to become a reliable and stable partner for China.   Afghanistan hopes to further strengthen cooperation with China in the fields of economy, trade, energy and mineral resources, finance, etc. It welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest and cooperate in Afghanistan, and is willing to provide a good business environment for investment enterprises in Afghanistan and protect their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law. The Afghan side highly appreciates Chairman Xi Jinping's insightful propositions on global governance at the G20 Leaders' Summit and is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with China. Algeria supports further improving the China Latin America Forum and is willing to play a positive role in promoting the development of Latin America China relations.
