On February 14, 2025 local time, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, was invited to meet with Argentine Foreign Minister Vithain during his attendance at the Munich Security Conference.

Wang Yi said that the Chinese and Arab peoples have maintained long-term friendship, and China Arab cooperation is equal and mutually beneficial. Last year, Chairman Xi Jinping held a meeting with President Millet and reached important consensus on consolidating and developing China Arab relations. China is willing to work with Afghanistan to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen high-level and various field exchanges, promote bilateral relations to a new level, and better benefit the two peoples. Both sides should continue to respect and take care of each other's core interests and major concerns, and continuously strengthen the political foundation of bilateral relations.

      Wang Yi stated that China does not seek spheres of influence, does not participate in geopolitical competition, firmly practices multilateralism in international affairs, and is willing to work with Latin American countries, including Argentina, to firmly uphold the international rule of law and basic norms of international relations. China Arab relations are an important component of China Latin America relations. Since its establishment ten years ago, the China Latin America Forum has effectively promoted cooperation between China and Latin America, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both sides. China is willing to work with Latin American countries to support the development and growth of the China Latin America Forum, and help China and Latin America achieve common development and prosperity.

      Weitehen stated that the Afghan side attaches great importance to its relations with China and looks forward to strengthening high-level exchanges and deepening pragmatic cooperation with China. Thank you for supporting the defense of sovereignty over the Falkland Islands by the Chinese side. The Albanian side firmly adheres to the One China principle and is willing to become a reliable and stable partner of China. On the basis of strengthening bilateral relations, Algeria is willing to play a positive role in promoting the development of Latin American and Chinese relations.
