Buenos Aires, June 7 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of the Argentine Congress, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Tie Ning, led a delegation to visit Argentina from June 5 to 7. During the visit, they met with the Speaker of the Argentine House of Representatives, Menem, the Interim Senate President, Abdullah, and the Chief Cabinet Minister, Francis, and held discussions with think tank scholars.
Tie Ning said that both China and Argentina are important emerging market countries, and China is willing to share the opportunities of Chinese path to modernization with Argentina. Both sides should implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and promote the long-term stable development of bilateral relations. The National People's Congress of China is willing to deepen dialogue and cooperation with Afghanistan, strengthen the exchange of governance experience, and make positive contributions to enriching the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Afghanistan and promoting the common development of the two countries.
The Afghan side emphasized the high importance of its relationship with China, reiterated its adherence to the One China principle, highly praised China's important influence in international affairs, and stated that the Afghan side is a reliable and long-term partner that China can trust. The Afghan side is willing to closely engage with China at all levels, expand pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and benefit the people of both countries.
